Chevy's Restaurant, Schaumburg,IL

summary

Even though crowds lined up to be seated at this restaurant, the courteous waitstaff sat us immediately. With great Mexican food, hokey birthday celebrations and grande margaritas, this place is our family favorite.

Chevys Restaurant
1180 N. Plaza Drive
Schaumburg, IL 60173 847-413-9100
Our family loves to eat out at Chevy's restaurant located on Golf Road just outside Woodfield Shopping Center. The waitstaff immediately removes a chair from one of the tables to make room for my daughter's wheelchair. Huge portion sizes and a wide variety of choices all nicely prepared make this place a no-brainer. The family atmosphere is loud, so those that have a hard time in crowds should go at a non-peak hour or weekday. Reservations are not required, but wait times can be long on Saturday nights.

Located in the Oakbrook Mall, 30 minutes west of Chicago, we found this restaurant wheelchair-friendly and the waitstaff very welcoming. You can also valet park or find accessible parking right outside the Clubhouse restaurant.

The Clubhouse
298 Oakbrook Center
Oak Brook, IL 60523
Telephone 630.472.0600

The Clubhouse offers a convenient suburban location with big city taste. The menu boasts many American classics including black angus steaks, chops, salads, pastas, and fresh seafood. For family occasions we took the elevator to the second floor, and found the rows of seating easy to navigate with a wheelchair.

review

Marche
We learned of this recommendation from a Chicago Tribune article discussing accessible places to eat. Hip and trendy, the atmosphere must be seen to be believed. Marche offers a French-American menu.
