Every county has a referral service that can help you find the right blend of services for your loved one. There is a Caregiver Resource Center near you. Each center can help you locate such services as:

• Adult day service for the senior citizen and respite services for the caregiver.
• Individual counseling and support groups
• Services that help senior citizens remain in their homes
• Home-delivered meals Assistance in housekeeping
• Home modification
• Assistance finding assistive devices
• Training, counseling and emotional support
• Transportation services
•  Financial information and services
• Legal services
• Caregiver training
• Case management assistance
• Employment programs

In most counties these agencies are called Senior Services. They act as clearing houses on a variety of senior needs. In Cook Count the agency is called the Chicago Department on Aging.You can find information on other counties in Illinois below.
